Pier Voulkos is a true pioneer and one of the most influential artists of the polymer clay movement, having discovered this material at a toy store in Germany in 1971.
The daughter of renowned artist, Peter Voulkos, she credits her parents for her “innovative creativity”, masterfully manipulating polymer clay into vibrant sculptural forms and objects of adornment from the 70’s through the 90’s.
Unfortunately for fans of her work, Pier Voulkos has retired from the art of polymer clay and is currently pursuing her passion for dance.
